As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing students connect their studies to the real world.

Our itinerary:

  • Science in Action: Exploring marine conservation and the “mermaids” of the deep at the Genoa Aquarium.
  • Urban History: Walking through Porto Antico to see Renzo Piano’s vision of a modern maritime city.
  • Global Perspectives: We would like to extend a special word of thanks to the International Children’s Library “De Amicis”. Their staff went above and beyond, giving us a spontaneous VIP tour that allowed the students to explore literature in languages as diverse as Punjabi and Japanese.

The students returned home a little tired, but with much broader horizons. I am proud of this group, not just for their curiosity and spirit of adventure during the trip, but also for the enthusiasm they’ve shown in preparing the presentation that follows.
